  1. I have two issues to tell you about. Nine days ago I purchased a order of your home made cookies hermits. You have cut in half the good things that make these great, now they are just cake like without the fruit and nuts. They were crap.
Last weekend when I returned on Sunday to p/u a few things i missed the day before the cashier was in a bad frame of mind, did not care she was Mary C.
I don’t buy beef from you anymore as the quality is not there!
Just thought you should be aware of what a customer thinks
    Best regards

  2. My husband and I were at the Crowfoot Safeway yesterday, picking up a few things for his lunches and some things for a bbq. Although we found what we needed, and the quality of product is pretty good, once we went through the checkout, our experience left a sour note. I wish I could remember her name, Mirama? she was not friendly at all. Didn’t greet us, just scanned our stuff through, didn’t ask for air miles (I gave it to her, but still) It was like she didn’t care. It takes one person to ruin your shopping experience. Attitude is everything. We like shopping at Safeway but after that we may choose a different store.

  3. I have been trying to complete the survey today for the grocery shopping I did yesterday. I am unable to proceed as I get a message indicating the survey is closed (or something like that).

  4. Dear Sir:

I visited your store today at 434pm pacific time. It was one of my worst shopping experiences bar none. This is your store at 4th and Vine in Vancouver, BC. I was served by Carmela. Firstly, while waiting in line she had a lengthy discussion with one of her colleagues about the change in hours for bakery. She was then interrupted by another employee who wanted a price check. She spent a lot of time with her. As I was waiting. Finally I said – listen up – I am in a hurry. I then asked for a paper bag. She said she did not have any paper. I know this store has paper. She did not offer. She said the bakery has paper. I said larger paper as I have wine to pick up. She said not large. I asked her if she would give me change on my debit for meter money. She did so. I was short. I asked if she could top up. She said no. I then said I will go over to Whole Foods and they will give me double paper with handles to serve my needs as I am a regular customer there, and besides, they always have all their service stations open. I then went to Whole Foods and I got double paper with handles and they gave me 50c for the meters.

I suspect I will get no feedback from Safeway on this and this explains why I shop Safeway less and less and Whole Foods, Choices, and many others more and more.

    Kind regards.

  5. your survey is stupid. The numbers at the bottom of my receipt are a completely different sequence.
i went to a local safeway for groceries, it was not an airmiles bonus day but I thought at least I will get a gas discount. Once the groceries were totalled the clerk advised me that they did not have that option at their safeway store. Had I known that I would have shopped at a different safeway. why wouldn’t all safeways have the same programs?? she said it was because they didn’t have a gas station at their store but I have been to other safeways without gas stations and have earned gas discounts. I’m not thrilled that I spent $100 expecting some kind of reward but was disappointed.

  6. Today it cost me $9.92 for chicken strips and greek salad. $5.22 for the salad that had cucumber that had been frozen. Olives, cheese and cucumber that had been froze. Not too tasty. Then on the receipt I could not even do the survey for lack of proper numbers.

  8. On 14NOV29 at approx. 1410Hrs I had the severe misfortune of attending SARAH N till. At no time during our transaction did she make eye contact, she did not bag single boxes of crackers and just to add to the total shopping experience she would not pass the cases of pop over to the loading side instead indicating with her hand in a gesture that I was to load them from the left side of the till. I have shopped at this Safeway location since it opened and have always found its strength to be its employees, this was certainly not the case today. I will not attend her till ever again, this employee needs a course in customer service in a big way. The service level was absolutely atrocious and needs to be addressed immediately.

  9. I have been a Safeway shopper, for 30+yrs. I have been very satisfied, with service & products. I have bought your Sparkling Water Beverage, for many yrs, and, up until now, have been satisfied with it. In the last 3-4wks, the brand has been changed from “Refreshe” which was excellent, to “Compliments”, which is not. Refreshe was Sugar, Calorie, Sodium FREE, Compliments is NOT. I have tried e few of the new ones, and, find them to be tasteless, and, frankly awful. I shop at Safeway Collingwood.
    Thank You

  10. Sirs:
I tried to fill out your market force survey, but couldn’t: 1) my Safeway receipt was not in the format, nor did it have the information required for your survey to begin it; 2) when I tried to get into the actual survey, it indicated that the survey was over, and thanked me for my time. Do we have a bit of a misunderstanding here, gentlemen?
I have been a loyal Safeway customer for over 35 years (don’t ask how old I am). I just wanted to give you some feedback on the new format of your receipt. I find that I like it less. If I am correct, It now indicates the regular price minus the difference between the regular price and the sale price of an item. Nowhere does it appear to indicate the actual price paid of an item on sale. This makes it hard to check the bill for sale items, especially produce. For instance: this morning I bought Gala apples on sale at $.99/ lb.
Here is what the bill showed:

    Apples Gala 4174 $3.38 C
    => $1.10 off per kg -$1.13 C
    1.030 kg @ -$1.10 / kg

So, do I have to go through the arithmetic for every item that I buy on sale to check its price? (Believe it or not, sometimes – rarely – there is a discrepancy.)

So there you have it. One customer heard from.

    Thank you for your time.

  11. I was disappointed I could no longer use my gift card at the self tills. That is a backward step because other competitors still have that availability. You also should work on adding air miles points that show up on receipts to the balance totals immediately, not ten days later. Again, competitors do this already…

  12. Went to pick up healthy valley organic frozen fruit at Sherwood Drive Safeway . Couldn’t find any. Asked 3 different employees was told never heard of that brand, didn’t have it. Pulled out the flyer showed them, they then called over 2 managers was told they don’t stock all flyer items??? Customer service would go along way if they apologized for the time you wasted trying to track down phantom items and at least offered some sort of compensation as some air miles or substitute one of their similiar products. Is this a corporate move or a store manager either way it is unacceptable. Safeway and their employees time isn’t more valuable than mine.

The deal really looked good but unfortunately I ended up with Customer Service reply “Sorry! We ran out of it!” having heard that I was surprised why would Safeway put a 2-day special deal and when some customers tried to avail of it, we ended up with nothing.  It would have been better if these 2-days specials will just have a time limit so your customers will not expect the unexpected of not having the good deals. I ended up having to just purchase the Delissio pizza with the price of $4.99 (even $1.00 more expensive than the deal I wanted to buy). My daughters were so sad and disappointed by such a deal as they were expecting a “treat” for that day since they knew there will be ice cream and a drink with the pizza.  We are a simple family with a single income for a while now and these good deals really matter to families like us.  We are not very happy upon having a response too from your Customer Service that Safeway has ran out of that deal and it was still March 10th (the 2nd day of the deal).

  14. I have shopped at Safeway for more than 40 years. The changeover to Sobey’s brands has left me very disgruntled. Several Safeway products which I have been using for years have disappeared from the shelves, and no comparable product has become available. Examples: the pink unlined rubber gloves, the peppermint tea in boxes of 80 bags, the roll rack kitchen trash bags 20 litre size.
I do occasionally shop in a neighbourhood Sobey’s or Save on Foods as their meats are better quality, in my opinion, than that of the Safeway where I normally shop. As I use the Safeway pharmacy where the workers know me and are attentive to my needs, I continue to go there, but I am definitely considering moving to Save On!

  15. We live in Neepawa, Manitoba & have shopped Safeway & only Safeway forever!!!! We have decided it is not worth the hassle to shop there anymore, you wait at the Deli while 2 Phillipinos stand & visit in their language which I find very annoying as I think they should be speaking English & only English at work. Talking to your Manager a Karen somebody is as big a joke as she is. You have some good workers there they are just getting few & far between.

  16. I miss the ‘

I miss the Safeway I used to know!! You know, the one with happy staff and quality products, Sobey,s just doesn’t cut it! Quality and (in the case of the baking)’quantity’ have really gone downhill. ‘my compliments products are not nearly as good as the Safeway brands they’ve replaced. tried to do the survey and can’t figure out just what the entry code is ? nothing I’ve tried seems to work. We live in a rural area and shop in Nelson BC (about an hour away , we’re about 5 hours from Costco and the drive seems more appealing with each passing negative grocery shopping experience

  17. I spent 225.99 on a nice bonsi tree. I was really please but when I got home I notice that she short handed me 9 stamps. Not thinking I was going to check my bill over. “YOU HAVE EARNED 19 STAMPS! NOT 10. If you want to value your customers than don’t rip them off?
